Using the Enterprise Explorer

Servergraph's Enterprise Explorer is the default homepage for users, and from there you can drill down to reporting and analysis of your backup and storage environment. The Enterprise Explorer dashboard is setup as part of the Servergraph installation and is ready for use when you log in for the first time.

Servergraph collects data throughout the day and provides reports to help you monitor backup applications and storage devices. The reports show data about applications, device usage, storage capacity and other statistics. Whether you want to know if you're running out of storage space, if a certain device is backing-up successfully, or what your current backup success rate is, you can use the Enterprise Explorer as a starting point.
  1. From the Enterprise Explorer dashboard, locate the widget that is applicable to your question. For example, if you have a question about backups, review the Backup Status widget for an answer.
  2. Apply the Scope, Application, and Server filters to isolate specific devices that are important to you.
  3. Optional: Click the widget's title to drill down and reveal more reporting information.
As you click through other areas of the Enterprise Explorer on topics from backup storage to storage devices, it's important to remember the data Servergraph reports on is fully customizable and you can find more predefined reports that are available to you in the navigation tree panel.
